While preparing to come to St. Petersburg, I did a lot of research about coats. The most common trade-off was that a stylish coat would not be warm, and the warm coats were ugly/utilitarian. This coat somehow manages to be both warm and stylish while also not being too bulky.

I've had the coat for about 2 months and so far have used it in temperatures from -25 to 2 C (-13 to 35 F). With proper layering, only my face gets cold while wearing this coat (but that's what scarves are for). The drawstring hood is amazing and stays on in the wind.

My only complaint is that the coat lacks an inside pocket, which I didn't realize from the info on Amazon.

I am 5'1" and got the small, which fits me really well and allows room for layering underneath. It reaches about mid-calf.

I sent it back. I am 5'5 and a little under 140 pounds (that is after two boys; my prebaby weight was 124). Still, I should have ordered my true size (small) - I am swimming in Med, unless one really likes the baggy style. Aside from the size issue, I did not like the brown color - it was rather dull, do not get it unless it is your true color. I got the short parka by this company instead, in small size and black color and pretty happy with that. The black color was rich, with a little shine, and the fit is perfect - hugging me in all the right places.

This coat in Med fit perfectly, extremely warm walking coat and I think it even looks fashionable. The snaps AND zipper are great features, and the sides zip so there's no chance of ripping. My Mom bought it for me, and it was the best gift!
